About Pamela
Pamela is an Associate Professor and the Latin American, Iberian, and Latino/a Studies Librarian at The Ohio State University (OSU). In her role she has supported international research, developed award-winning K-12 educational curriculum, and served as a senior project manager for cross-cultural initiatives in the United States and Mexico. As a facilitator and DEI specialist, she has designed, developed, and delivered sessions for the Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL) Leadership Fellows Program, the Association of College and Research Libraries Consulting Services, and DeEtta Jones & Associates.
Pamela is the recipient of a Fulbright Garcia Robles Binational Business Fellowship, the Ohio State University 2017 Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award, and Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 award for her community outreach and engagement. Her research in DEI has been featured as a highlighted resource by the ALA Library Instructional Round Tables (LIRT), the ACRL Instruction Section, the ACRL publications on equity, diversity, and inclusion guide, the Library Parlor, and the American Libraries Magazine.

She has been an invited library DEI speaker for the San Jose State University School of Information’s Diversity Lecture Series, the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Leadership and Career Development Program Fellows Institute, the ARL Digital Scholarship Institute, and the Minnesota Institute for Early Career Librarians (MIECL).
